Kudos
A hearty thanks for conducting such an amazing workshop. Really, it upped my game significantly and I was continually impressed by the quality of the other participants as people and writers.
-- Mark Goffman, writer/producer (West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip)
I recently took a look at some of my work as it was before working with you and it was shocking and slightly embarrassing but also incredibly inspiring to see how far I was able to progress in my own journey as a writer within 11 short weeks. I will never understand exactly how it is that I happened to find your workshop on the Internet. But I will never doubt that it was exactly where I needed to be.
-- Lauren Gullion, novelist
Your workshop was the best investment I’ve made in my writing... from the group of wonderful people you brought together, to the input and education you offered me about my work, every aspect of this experience exceeded my expectations.

I’m not going to get gross and sentimental but your class gave me back a part of something I thought I had lost forever, and it means more than I can say. You’re an awesome teacher and I really thank you so much for everything you’ve taught me.

Last week, you asked, “What is it about hawks, man?” Tense, I laughed. But you said, “I’m not fucking around, man.” “Write sentence by sentence by sentence.” I was pissed. I’d only heard good things about my writing so far. At least, when I tried. So I went home, took your brutally honest statements, then wrote sentence by sentence by sentence. Guess what happened? My writing became honest. It evolved. I think about writing in a new way, and I have more respect for it. That’s it, man. That’s what I gotta say. Thanks.
