Making It Happen (now coming to Seattle)
Interested in joining a selective, no-nonsense, nuts & bolts writing workshop? Dreaming of a local community of writers in prose or poetry? This may be for you. But be forewarned: We will not massage your ego with false encouragement, foster your creativity with fatuous exercises, dole out pat conventional workshop dogma (i.e. “show, don't tell”) or help you find your inner child. We WILL provide practical, learned, honest critique in an atmosphere both supportive and exacting. We WILL approach each piece of writing on its own terms, examining what makes it breathe, what gives it dimension and fire.The standard will be high and the criticism rigorous.
